Government Computer Collage (Sittway) was initially opened on 1st September, 2000 at Government Computer College(GCC) that was on Union Street, Pyay Taw Thar Quarter in Sittway. The board of the government of Union of Myanmar upgraded it to the Computer University of Sittway on 3rd January,2007. Dr. Zaw Tun Ph.D (IT), Pro-Ractor, serves currently as a principal of this institution.
